The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has taken fugitive Stonie Shane Norris into custody this morning shortly after nine a.m.
Norris is wanted for Home Invasion Robbery and two counts of Attempted Murder in Putnam County, Florida. Information was shared with the BCSO and the Lynn Haven Police Department that Norris might be headed to Bay County. He was seen in the area of Carla Lane and Aberdeen Loop in Lynn Haven last evening and a man hunt began. The BCSO Air Unit and the BCSO K9 unit began searching the area. An F-150 truck was located in the area that had been reported stolen in Lake City, Florida. It is believed Norris stole the vehicle and drove it to Bay County. A firearm was located in the vehicle.
The search continued throughout the night. At about 6:30 this morning, a citizen called the BCSO and reported seeing a man matching Norris’ description in the area of a creek bed near Atlas Portable Buildings and Truss Manufacturing at 3925 US Highway 231 and Evergreen Cemetery on Highway 231.
Law enforcement gathered at this location and Norris was spotted twice in a nearby wooded area. The BCSO Air Unit and K9 unit were used to search the woods. A shoulder to shoulder grid search was conducted by deputies in the heavy brush and Norris was found under a pile of pine straw in the woods where he had attempted to bury himself.
Norris was taken into custody without further incident.

Norris was spotted last evening in the area of Carla Lane and Aberdeen Loop in Lynn Haven. Norris is wanted in Putnam County, Florida for Home Invasion Robbery and two counts of Attempted Murder.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the Lynn Haven Police Department is currently looking for Stonie Shane Norris, a fugitive from Putnam County, Florida. Norris is wanted for Home Invasion Robbery and two counts of Attempted Murder.
After receiving information Norris could be traveling to Bay County, deputies checked on a possible location at a trailer park in Lynn Haven. A BCSO deputy spotted Norris in the area but he evaded apprehension. A vehicle reported stolen in Lake City, Florida, an F-150 truck, has been located and is believed to have been used by Norris. A weapon was found in the vehicle.
Norris was last seen in the area of Carla Lane and Aberdeen in Lynn Haven. The BCSO Air Unit, K-9 Unit, Patrol Deputies and LHPD officers are combing the area looking for Norris.
Norris is a white male, 6’2″, 165 pounds, with a shaved head, possibly with facial hair. Residents in the area are encouraged to be vigilant and report anything suspicious to law enforcement immediately.
