The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident involving counterfeit currency. A woman was captured on security video passing counterfeit bills.
On Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at about 8:00 PM. A woman entered a local restaurant and bought food with a $20.00 bill. While the cashier was running the bill, the woman requested change for another $20.00 bill. Once the woman left the store, the cashier realized both bills were counterfeit.
The suspect is described as a white female, in her late teens or early 20’s, about 5’6” tall with a thin build and long brown hair. She was seen wearing a white hoodie, brown shorts, and flip flops.
