The Bay County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on a residence on Winona Street in Callaway this morning. One arrest has been made.
A complaint of a stolen lawnmower and trailer was made to the BCSO this morning. The victim happened to walk outside his home in the Callaway Heights area and see someone driving away with his lawnmower, valued at about $3000, and his trailer. The victim followed and saw the suspect take the items to a home on Winona Avenue in Callaway, and called the BCSO.
Deputies responded and saw the stolen items in the backyard. A search warrant was obtained for the home. The stolen items were recovered and drug paraphernalia was found. A man in the residence was arrested. John Murphy, age 38, of 6706 Winona Street in Callaway, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
